The history of Traumatic Creations dates back to the end of 2002. After coming up through the tracker ranks, and hearing stuff from great mod groups like 7YNIVF, Synthetic Minds and Monotonik, free releases were just so common to me and that scene. Monotonik though to me really kicked off a trend that is so fucking huge now ... the age of the Netlabel.
When T.C. started in 2002, barely anyone had or knew what a netlabel was. After convincing my brother to make a logo, T.C. was on it's way. The netlabel basically was a way for me to release stuff that I recorded for my friends and the tracker community to hear. 2003 saw the release of the only two Dead Eyes Burn recordings, "Pariah By Choice" and "Beyond The Black Gates."
Late 2003 and early 2004 saw the first Traumatic Creations website and our joining the netlabel section of Archive.org (back when not everone could have one), which gave me the ability and webspace to "permenantly" host the releases. 2004 was also the year that The Vomit Arsonist released his T.C. debut, which went on to be our most highly downloaded release, "Loose Girls Make The Best Wives."
The Vomit Arsonist and I are basically the main components behind the T.C. releases, which lead us into the year 2005. Overall it was a productive year for the netlabel. Lots of downloads, a newly designed website, and new releases. The Vomit Arsonist graced us with his second T.C. release, "Self Laceration" which includes guest work on two tracks by Dead Eyes Burn. Following soon after, was "Pariah of The Black Gates" which compiled the two Dead Eyes Burn demos on one release, and shortly ater the project was basically put to rest. Towards the end of the year, a full collab album between Dead Eyes Burn and The Vomit Arsonist was completed. The material was composed and pieced together over a seven month period and the project took shape under the banner, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern. Also, DBH or Death's Black Hand rose from the ashes of Dead Eyes Burn to make it's debut release, "Murder" and that release would end the year. It was a satisfying year, but that type of year would not happen in 2006.
2006 was basically silence. The Vomit Arsonist was doing live shows and working on material for proper releases. Barely any updates or news hit the T.C. website. It just basically fell off the map ... but ...
Enter 2007, so many ideas to kick start T.C. came and went, but at least we got some fucking releases out! Urs_q² spearheaded 2007 right out of the gate. Even though it didn't get as many downloads as other T.C. releases, it recieved a lot of positive remarks. Urs_q²'s selftitled debut is more or less, our sore thumb in the catalog. Next we would go in the total opposite direction and some months later would release the debut demo of USBM project, Parasitic Womb. Parasitic Womb's "Degradation" is one of our most downloaded releases, even though it has gotten mixed reviews, which we expected. This release has also had two offers for a physical release (one for a CDR release and another for cassette) but they were turned down due to the high number of downloads. To us it didn't make much sense. Anyways ... a few weeks later DBH would release it's second release. DBH's selftitled release marked a burst foward for us in downloads. After this release it seemed more people were checking us out and grabbing everything.
2008 has brought on this very website. A much needed redesign and update. Many of the projects have had non-T.C. releases since 2007. So far this year has been quiet, but with any luck some releases will finally be finished and we will be back punishing eardrums once again.
